Welcome

Hello Everyone,

My name is Kurt Robinson and I'll be serving as the leadership coordinator for the 2009-2010 school year. My role is to ensure that Core's areas of ministry are all working together by offering encouragement, support, and accountability to the other members of the leadership team. I am responsible for ensuring that Core operates according to our shared vision for ministry.

Through the past few years of college I have seen how God can take a completely diverse group of people and unite them around one common goal. That is, exalting and spreading the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that unlike any other club or organization, the relationships formed in Core are deep and eternally significant. With that said, I am extremely blessed to be put in a position where I can serve this organization and our campus through the gift of leadership.

About me:

I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but now live off campus in the Alpha Omega house. I am a junior electrical engineering major here at SCU. I grew up going to church very sporadically, but I really started hungering for the things of God after my junior year of high school. There have been some awesome people in my life that have contributed to my faith and maturity in Jesus Christ, most notably, the leaders and members of the local church which I attend, Camden Avenue Baptist. I find that through the disciplines of the faith including Bible reading, prayer, worship through music, and fasting, I am able to see and savor Jesus Christ more passionately. I served as the worship coordinator last year, and I plan on leading the music for Core more in the future.
